BEYLİKDÜZÜ MİGROS SHOPPING CENTER CHILDREN’S CULTURE AND ARTS FESTIVAL Thema Anadolica!

Beylikdüzü Migros Shopping Center continues very fast in the activities for the children. The Shopping Center has prepared an unbelievable culture-arts adventure for the children, who are getting prepared to complete the first school period of 2011-2012. This great adventure, which will start on 23rd January 2012, will last until 18 March Çanakkale Victory Celebrations.

This time children are witnessing the rich values of Anatolia, which has hosted many significant civilizations throughout the history. “Thema Anadolica”, with all interesting activities bringing the cultural history with the arts workshops, is a candidate for being the year’s most special, most educating, and most entertaining children’s project! The participation to the adventure of “Thema Anadolica” is completely free of charge…

The children, who will meet with the fertile Hittite world on 23 January 2012, will breathe in throughout the process of 24 days, an ancient history, which still protects its mystery, by entering into the lands of Phrygia, Lydia, Ionia, Urartu, Sumeria, Akad, Babylon, Assyria, Phoenicia, Minos, and Mycenae. The daily life, architectural developments, artistic elements, cultural values, mythos, and stories, pertaining to the said civilizations, will be communicated to the children in the applied workshops of one hour each. The information, specific to the said civilizations, of the written and oral, recorded and unrecorded tradition will reach to the children of today in the activity field of Beylikdüzü Migros Shopping Center. In the leadership of the expert trainers, the children will participate in the workshops of Creative Drama, Sculpture, Arts, Design, Mosaic, Dance, Theater, Writing, Pattern, Jewelry, Kitchen, Discovery, and Relief, and will recognize many works, discoveries, and values, from Midas Monument to Gordium Castle, from Assyria Trade Colonies to Sidon Luck Babies, from Frieze Decorations to Hieroglyph, from Hanging Gardens of Babylon to the Discovery of the Glass and the Color Purple, from Mycenaean and Tiryns Chateaus to Trojan Horse, with their accompanying boundless creative capacities. This great adventure will end on 18 March 2012 with the Turkish identity. Glorious Çanakkale Legend will be re-animated in the activity field, and a notable “Day of Heroism” will be experienced by Çanakkale Victory Celebrations.

“Thema Anadolica” activities, which are the joint project of GA KIDS and Beylikdüzü Migros Shopping Center, are prepared by the “3C+ Program” (Creative-Crazy-Comprehension/Genius) to support the motor-mental and the physical developments, by taking into account the children’s ages and development stages. The activities are prepared for the purposes of being able to maintain the mental and bodily development in parallel, bringing in a skill for being able to work as a team, facilitating compliance to different environments, and increasing self-confidence and skill for expressing, and are designed for developing mental and motor skills such as observation, research, perception, creativity, awareness, and adaptation basically.

All children and the families are invited to the “Thema Anadolica” activities of ECE Turkey -Beylikdüzü Migros Shopping Center Children’s Culture Arts Festival.
